Okay, let's help it out with one of the following. Not unusual, but irksome at times like this. Or the prompt might just not know where to look for java.exe. This can be because Java's really not installed (you've said it is, so strike that). Looks like your prompt can't find java.exe. It just says "java" is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file" in the command terminal. I added saved game editing and started this new thread to continue managing the project. Originally ComaToes had written a profile editor. If all else fails, try asking on this thread. If you have other problems, check the readme's troubleshooting section. On Windows, "FTLProfileEditor_debug.bat" will show you the logs and offer to fix interface glitches. To get 1.6, you may have to google "jdk-6u45-windows-i586.exe". (1.7 was built with VisualStudio 2010, causing a DecodePointer error.) Open a profile (ae_prof.sav / prof.sav) or saved game (continue.sav).Switch to the appropriate tab: "Profile" or "Saved Game".In most cases, this should be located automatically. This is called "data.dat" in the "resources" directory under your FTL install. On the first run, you may be prompted to locate your FTL data file.Double-click FTLProfileEditor.exe (Windows).(It can be at the Main Menu if you're careful.)

I can accept PayPal donations here, if you feel inclined. Uncompiled source is available at GitHub. Version 18 - (Very stable, from before AE-related bugs: for FTL 1.03.3 and earlier)

If you see one and recognize its meaning, post here with your suggestion! Diehard researchers may even compare dumps of backups over time with WinMerge to highlight changes that coincide with events in-game.ĪE SAVED GAMES (SINCE FTL 1.5.4) ARE PARTIALLY EDITABLE Many values in Advanced Edition have not been deciphered (they're labeled with greek letters and question marks). FTL 1.01-1.03.3 saved games are fully editable.FTL 1.5.4-1.6.3 saved games are partially editable.FTL 1.01-1.03.3 profiles are fully editable.FTL 1.5.4-1.6.3 profiles are fully editable. With this, you can unlock any or all ships and achievements in your user profile, or tweak most aspects of saved games: crew, fires, breaches, stores, etc. It depends on resources from the game directory, but the game itself will not be modified. it's a shame there isnt a steam cloud feature for save games as alot of the unlocks are about chance.Formerly the "ComaToes Profile Editor", this is a 3rd-party tool to edit user files. I unlocked everything except the crystal ship (and new AE stuff) but my save was lost to time, am I going to unlock everything i had already unlocked before? nah! rather just cheat that stuff and unlock the new stuff properly. I think your overreacting jus a lil, some people just dont have the time to unlock everything, expecially as having all the ships and layouts add's a ton of more fun to FTL. Do you always want everyone to do everything for you? Sorry, but sooner or later, you got to learn to do stuff yourself. You can dig this crap up yourself, but wait, you don't seem to have time for that either. The only ship where cheating is justified is with the Crystal, because it's extremely lucky to get, given all the events that have to line up in 1 run. When you do have time to play, play a ship you have, and eventually you can get them yourself. Please link or create a save-file for me to use that contains 8/8 ships. TL DR - I don't have enough time to unlock all the ships but I'm tired of playing the same four ships (stealth, engi, federation, kestrel). I had a chance to get the mantis one but I died in solar flare fight totally unrelated to the mission. I don't even care if the unlock doesn't come with b & c modes because its nice having a goal but the ship quests are too few and too far between. I don't honestly care if you don't like that I can't spend days on this trying to unlock all the ships. I'm not a regular player but this game is a very enjoyable way to waste a few minutes.

Why has nobody done this save file for advanced edition? I have neither the time nor the inclination to spend multiple hours a day trying to beat a game I play for fun - if I get a free 10 minute break I'll play this - it's super rare that I have the time to make it to the last sector and I've only even sat down with the goal of beating the final boss once.
